Dramatic weight loss, whether achieved by proper nutrition and exercise or from other forms of medical treatment can provide many benefits. However, once you reach your weight loss goals, you may find that you still don’t have the fit healthy body image you desire. Skin may be loose, sagging and in many cases, your body contour may appear irregular. Body Lifting reduces fat and skin that has developed in multiple areas of the body. The result of surgery is a smoother, more attractive body shape which will enhance your body image and self-confidence.
The best candidates for a Body Lift are adults of any age whose weight loss has stablised and that are committed to leading a healthy lifestyle including proper nutrition and fitness.

In your initial consultation, Mr Klein will evaluate your health and determine the extent of fat deposits and skin tone around your body. Mr Klein will work with you to recommend the procedures that are right for you and will come closest to producing your desired body contour. Body Lifting is often preformed in stages. After assessing your condition, goals, health, safety and comfort Mr Klein will develop a surgical plan for you. Don’t hesitate to ask Mr Klein any questions you may have, especially those regarding your expectations and concerns about the results. Mr Klein will explain the procedure in detail, including the risks and limitations, the type of anesthesia that will be used, the type of facility where the surgery will be preformed and the costs involved. Be sure to tell Mr Klein if you smoke, and if you’re taking any medications, vitamins, or other drugs.
Mr Klein performs Body Lifts in an outpatient surgical center or in hospital.
Mr Klein uses general anesthesia for a Body Lifting, which means you will sleep through the entire operation.
Thousands of Body Lifts are performed successfully each year. When done by a qualified plastic surgeon who is trained in Body Lifting, the results are generally quite positive. Nevertheless, there are always risks associated with surgery and specific complications associated with this procedure. During your consultation the procedure will be explained in detail, including the risks and limitations.
Your Body Lift will be individualised to your specific conditions and the regions of your body that need to be treated. Specific plastic surgery procedures that may be recommended include:
All Body Lifts require incisions to remove excess skin. In many cases the incisions may be extensive. Incision length and pattern depend on the amount and location of excess skin to be removed. Where possible Mr Klein will put incisions in strategic locations where they can be hidden by most types of clothing and swimsuits. During your consultation with Mr Klein he will explain each surgical procedure in depth.
Initial healing will include swelling at the incision sites. Discomfort can be common and this can be controlled by medication prescribed by Mr Klein. Initial wound healing may take 7 to 14 days and your skin will continue to heal for many weeks as swelling resolves and incision lines continue to improve. In many cases you will be instructed to avoid bending, straining and lifting for several days to weeks.
You will be ready to return to work and normal activity a few weeks after surgery as long as you do not engage in any heavy lifting or vigorous exercise. You must practice diligent sun protection until the healing process is fully complete. It may take a year or more for your incision lines to refine and fade to some degree.
The results of a Body Lift are often visible immediately, however it may take as much as one or two years for the final results of your Body Lifting to be complete. Visible scars are something you must accept in your goals to achieving a body contour that matches your new body weight and proportion. The results of Body Lifting are generally long lasting, provided you maintain a stable weight and general fitness. As your body ages, it is natural to lose more firmness. However, most of your initial improvement should be relatively permanent.
